The losing Empty The losing

When you lose someone,
your heart is a pinata.
It will be smashed, bashed, and destroyed.
Your sorrow is the candy
that falls like rain.
Your heart, unable to be repaired,
too crippled to be used again.
So, you start anew.
Get a new pinata,
don't let anyone smash it.
hold it for dear life.
But don't be afraid to open up
for there is your whole life ahead of you.
